For beginner to experienced climbers, She Moves Mountains is excited to share our love of rock climbing with the next generation and teach them what it means to be strong and confident humans.
All of our guides are trained by the AMGA and are experts at finding the right climbs. Guided climbing and instruction are available for climbers of all skill levels, from first-time beginners to intermediate and advanced climbers. We will have multiple instructors so we can split into smaller groups for the climbing portion of the day, depending on experience. We will focus on Intro instruction for those who have never climbed outside before, Intermediate instruction for climbers wanting to climb in the 5.9-5.10+ range, and Advanced for climbers wanting to join our guides on routes 5.10+-5.12.
Parents are welcome to join the morning of our final day of camp to watch their children climb.
Positive relationships with food and nutrition is a big deal to us. It is our goal to provide the best tasting food with the highest quality ingredients. Our guides will prepare breakfast and dinner - providing alternatives for anyone with dietary restrictions. We will have the youth make their own lunches out of food & snacks provided by us.

Climbing is not accessible for many people. But we hope to help make it a little more so.
We created our Pay What You Can option for those who can't afford the full cost or find the cost to be inhibitive. The process is simple and trust based.
We ask that possible participants ask themselves these two questions before taking us up on this option:
From there, we have created discount codes in varying amounts to use at checkout so climbers can attend for as low as $600. We realize that this cost is still inhibitive but at this time we have no outside funding for our program and cannot afford to pay our staff a living wage and run the program at a lower rate. We hope to change this in the future, but aren't there quite yet.
Please use the codes if you need them but we kindly request that participants only use these codes if they NEED the financial assistance to attend so that we can continue this program for years to come.
Use these codes at checkout to apply the scholarship:

ABSOLUTELY. We will have at least 2 instructors at the camp so that we can accommodate a wide range of abilities. In fact, teaching people the basics of rock climbing is what we do best. The entire ethos of She Moves Mountains guiding is to remember what it felt like to try climbing for the first time. It's intimidating, but we will be with them every step of the way.
This depends. We require that climbers do a lead test similar to what would be required in a gym. Even if they pass, we might not allow them to lead certain routes if the bolts are spaced too far apart and would result in dangerous falls.
If your climber is looking to get into leading, we can help them learn the basics and get them on lead during the camp.
Yes! Please email lizzy@shemovesmountains.org to set up this option.
While we don't have any full scholarships available, we do have our Pay What You Can Option for youth climbers to attend for as low as $600.
Yes! But we may need your help. At our retreats we have prepared food for those who have gluten & dairy allergies, vegan, vegetarians, and beyond. If your child is on a special diet we ask that you send us some ideas for what to prepare or purchase so that we can best meed their needs. Please distinguish between gluten intolerance and celiac because we will go to extreme lengths for those with celiac that aren't necessary for gluten intolerances.
We have a very strict cancellation policy. Please review it before committing to this retreat.
