Whether you are brand new to rock climbing or have years of experience, our Rock Climbing and Yoga Retreat is an incredibly life giving experience. This season we will be camping at the Slug Ranch in Anacortes, Washington. Located only 5 minutes from Mt. Erie.
Guiding will be available for a wide variety of skill levels, taught by AMGA Apprentice Rock Guides. Our group will be split depending on experience. While advanced climbers are welcome to attend, Mt. Erie does not have many difficult, high quality climbs. Groups will be split as follows. Intro instruction designed for those who have never climbed before. Intermediate instruction for climbers wanting to climb in the 5.6-5.9 range (best for those who have never climbed outside). Advanced for climbers wanting to join our guides to climb routes 5.10a-5.10b/c.
Yoga will be offered twice a day by our very own Katie Paulson. Katie has been practicing yoga for 13 years. In 2015 she went to Costa Rica to take a 200 hour instructor course and has been teaching ever since. Her favorite style is creative vinyasa flow with some power thrown in for good measure. She loves doing yoga outside, and exploring lighthearted movement in any way possible.
At our retreat we make it a priority to provide the best tasting food with the highest quality ingredients. Over the weekend our chef Tory will cook breakfast and dinner, providing alternatives for anyone with dietary restrictions. And of course, dessert. We firmly believe that dessert is essential to a happy life.
We will be camping at the Slug Ranch, a beautiful property in Anacortes, WA located 5 minutes from our climbing destination and 10 minutes from the beach. There is an outdoor bathroom and shower set up as well as a hot tub to enjoy. Two dogs live on the property and will most likely be running around during the day.
