At the intro to outdoor climbing clinic we will teach the basic skills required to climb outside. There are three main skills we will teach throughout the day; how to tie in with a figu. After teaching the basics we will set up multiple ropes to provide each climber the opportunity to safely practice their new skills.

The majority of women come to our clinics alone - somewhere around 95%. If you are hesitating to join because you would be coming solo, please know that we expect a majority of our participants to be joining by themselves, seeking community.
We generally have a wide range of ages at our retreats. The average tends to fall anywhere between the ages of 26 to 45. But we have had quite a few women in their 60's join as well. It really is up to the attitude and physical ability of the participant.
ABSOLUTELY. This clinic is designed for beginners. The entire ethos of She Moves Mountains guiding is to remember what it felt like to try climbing for the first time. It's intimidating, but we will be with you ever step of the way.
Working with industry leaders, She Moves Mountains has developed a detailed COVID response plan in line with CDC recommendations. What this will look like for participants is daily temperature checks, daily covid symptom evaluations, frequent hand washing/sanitizing, and mask wearing anytime we cannot maintain 6 feet of physical distance between each other. We have a very strict cancellation policy. Please review it before committing to this retreat.
