Whether you were a camp kid or not, now's your chance to create new memories and experience the kind of Summer Camp you've always dreamed of—a week filled with rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, yoga, and much more.
Each day you'll have the opportunity to choose from our planned activities and learn a new skill from our team of expert instructors. Worried you'll feel in over your head? We've designed every aspect of our Summer Camp program to feel welcoming, inclusive, and engaging for beginner to intermediate-level participants. Come one, come all!
Created around the belief that supportive environments build trust—with ourselves and others—and that the best way to learn is through play, our Summer Camp Is the perfect time to try new things, play as much as you want, and expand what you previously thought was possible.
Each day you get to choose your schedule. Don't want to climb? That's totally fine! You can go kayaking instead. Or maybe you want to climb everyday? You can do that too.
We're teaming up with other incredible guiding companies to bring you a variety of program options to choose from.
Whether you’ve never kayaked before or you’re a seasoned paddler, there’s always something to learn on a sea kayaking tour. During the day you’ll practice proper paddling techniques while exploring the Skagit Bay. We’ll stop for lunch on a nearby island and return back to the launch point the same way we came.
Moondance Sea Kayak is a female-owned company that has been providing safe, fun, and meaningful kayak excursions since 1992! Their experienced guides are friendly, approachable, and love to share their extensive naturalist knowledge of the Salish Sea. Moondance Sea Kayak Adventures' commitment is to ensure you the most rewarding kayaking experience possible while providing guidance for a safe and fun adventure.
Moondance Sea Kayaks will provide kayaks, paddles, personal flotation devices (PFD), spray skirts, and dry bags.
Fitness Requirement: Kayaking is a simple activity that is often undertaken at an easy, strain-free pace. It just requires moderate overall fitness. People who regularly engage in swimming, bicycling, and hiking are already in good shape for kayaking.
Size Limitations: Each kayak has a 250 lbs maximum per cockpit. The largest PFD is XXXL. The kayaks provided are sit-in sea kayaks with cockpits having a weight limit of 250lbs each. Every paddler must be comfortable getting out of the kayak in the event of a capsize. If there are plus-size folks with questions about fit, they are welcome to reach out to us!
FUNdamental Skills: Are you newer to mountain biking or never had formal instruction? Then this clinic is for you! You will master the fundamental skills of mountain biking to help get you riding more confidently out on the trails.
Or maybe you consider yourself an intermediate to the advanced rider? Are you looking to tackle the tech, corner better, and ride with more flow and style? Then consider joining our intermediate clinic, Progression Session.
Ladies AllRide mountain bike skills camps are all about bringing people together to learn skills on their bikes and share the joys of mountain biking in a fun and welcoming environment. Ladies AllRide sees firsthand how mountain biking can help people face fears, believe in themselves and learn what they’re capable of. They want to share their passion with as many women as possible to help grow the community of lady mountain bikers across the globe and help them get RAD on their bikes!
Fitness Requirement: Being able to ride a bike is the key foundational skill for mountain biking. Aside from that, we ask that you are comfortable peddling up to 2 hours.
Bike Requirements: Must have a front suspension fork that works, No fat bikes or e-bikes please. We will have mountain bikes available to rent!

She Moves Mountains was founded at Smith Rock State Park in July of 2017. We exist to empower and educate women (cis, trans) through technical outdoor clinics and community events.
Guiding will be available for a variety of skill levels, taught by instructors trained through either the AMGA or PCGI. The climbing at our summer camp is geared toward beginners, those who have only climbed in a gym OR those who have never tried rock climbing at all. Advanced climbers are welcome to join, but we will be sticking to the 5.4-5.9 range. We will have 2-3 guides available so we can split into smaller climbing groups depending on experience. We will cover the basics for the beginner group and teach anchor building & climbing technique with more experienced climbers.
We will be offering climbing every day.
Fitness Requirement: Ability to hike three miles over varied terrain while carrying a 15 lb backpack. Ability to do 4 sets of 20 squats. We won't make you do squats or walk that far, but if you can do both of those things, you can climb.
Join She Moves Mountains for an unforgettable hike and discover the beauty of Deception Pass State Park on a different trail each day.
She Moves Mountains expanded its mission in 2021 to include backpacking with the aim of getting more women outdoors and teaching essential backcountry and safety skills.
With 1-2 experienced instructors joining Summer Camp, you'll have the opportunity to join a group and adventure through lush forests, breathtaking vistas, and rocky beaches. Whether you are a seasoned hiker or a beginner, our program is suitable for a variety of skill levels.
Along the way, you'll have the chance to observe the park's wildlife, such as bald eagles, deer, and sea otters, We encourage you to bring your cameras, binoculars, bathing suit and a sense of adventure to fully immerse yourself in the experience (and the Salish Sea)!
We will be offering hiking every day.
Fitness Requirements: Ability to hike up to 5 miles over varied terrain with a pack weighing up to 7 lbs (water, snacks, towel).
While each day of Summer Camp brings a different activity, the constant throughout will be yoga. Ending our action-filled days with yoga is not only the perfect way to say thank you to our bodies, but also a good way to anchor a little amidst so many exciting firsts.
Our late-afternoon yoga classes are accessible to beginners and will focus on gentle stretching, light movement, and decompressing from the day's adventures.
All meals are provided at Summer Camp! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be curated and prepared by personal caterer and chef, John VanPatten. John joins us from Seattle's award-winning Cameron Catering, bringing with him years of experience, a depth of culinary knowledge, and lots of heart.
Each day will begin with a simple yet sustaining breakfast before we pack up sandwiches, snacks and bars, and embark on the day's activities.
For dinner, we will be treated to a variety of healthy, flavorful cuisines prepared fresh and on-site. All meals will be made to accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions.
In true summer camp fashion, your lodging for the week will be the bunkbed-filled cabins of Cornet Bay Retreat Center. Located on the pristine shores of Cornet Bay and surrounded by old growth trees, the retreat center promises a spectacular view of Mount Baker, plenty of wildlife, and loads of hiking trails.
While modest, these accommodations provide the perfect setting for staying up late chatting with new friends, telling ghost stories, and generally catching those summer camp vibes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical requirements vary by activity and are noted above. As a general note, we try to make all of our events accessible to beginners. If you want to stay back at camp one day and relax on the beach that is absolutely okay!
Note:
We will host this event rain, shine, or smoke. So much goes in to planning an event of this size that we cannot afford to refund guests if the environment interferes. The majority of women come to our retreats alone - somewhere around 90%. If you are hesitating to join because you would be coming solo, please know that we expect a majority of our participants to be joining by themselves, seeking community.
We generally have a wide range of ages at our retreats. The average tends to fall anywhere between the ages of 24 to 45, with the majority of our participants being in their 30s. But we have had quite a few women in their 60's join as well. It really is up to the attitude and physical ability of the participant.
